The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department has announced that its employees will now work from home, in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
In a statement, the department said that the move is in line with the UAE government’s ongoing efforts to reduce the risk infection and transmission of the viral pandemic.
The department has formed a committee led by Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Department, to ensure the continuity of the work distantly.
The head office and all branches across the emirate of Sharjah have been thoroughly disinfected, he said. “The finger print system has been replaced with ID cards as well.”
Al Shamsi added, “Most of the transactions are now being processed electronically via its website and virtual platform ‘Developers Gate’. These are apart from the department social media accounts and the emails specified for processing customers’ transactions.”
